Nutty Protein Oat Bowl

Ingredients

FOR THE OATS

  • ½ Cup (40g) rolled oats
  • ½ Cup (125ml) low fat milk
  • 80ml water
  • 1 scoop protein powder (vanilla flavoured is best)
  • 10ml (2 tsp) maple syrup
  • 1ml salt
  •  

TO SERVE

  • 10ml Peanut butter
  • 100g Berries
  • 10g Chopped nuts

Instructions

  • In a small mixing bowl, whisk protein powder, rolled oats, and salt.
  • Set aside.
  • Bring liquid to a boil on the stove top.
  • Reduce to low heat, stir in the dry ingredients, maple syrup, and salt.
  • Cook, stirring occasionally, until all the liquid is almost absorbed by oats and the texture of the oats softened.
  • Remove from the heat.
  • Cover and set aside for a few minutes until creamy and thick.
  • Serve with peanut butter, berries and crushed nuts.
