Ingredients
- 240g cake flour
- 10ml (2 tsp) baking powder
- 15ml (1 tbsp) cinnamon
- 2ml (½ tsp) salt
- 45g low fat margarine
- 385g unsweetened pie apples
- 30g Weigh-Less Strawberry Jam
- 190ml (¾ cup) fat-free milk
- 7 sachets sweetener
Instructions
- Sift the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt together.
- Rub in butter.
- Add sweetener and milk and stir to form soft dough.
- Knead very lightly.
- Roll dough out to approximately 3mm thick and place lightly over pie dish.
- Prick pastry base.
- Spread jam all over the base, place the pie apples over the jam and sprinkle with cinnamon and raisins.
- Roll out remaining pastry.
- Cut into strips 1.5cm wide.
- Weave over the top of the pie and brush with jam.
- Bake at 200°C for 35-40 minutes or until pastry is cooked through.
- Optional: Add 40g raisins = 2 fruit (for goal weight members only)
